That he abused his position to get to children, a true christian/religious person would not behave in this manner. This happens a lot, child abusers are very crafty and will use any means possible to get into positions of trust so that they have access to kids. To me it just says trust no one, and do not leave your kids alone with anyone. I don't think that this has any bearing on the religion itself, he is just a sick individual.

He looks like HH Dalai Lama, he is child molester too.
He was accused of rape by a poor Tibetan woman, the case was immediately covered up, there in India, with some bribe for the high profile personalities the law had always had two faces, one for the poor and one for the powerful or rich.
About this case, I think that the fact he abused his best friend's daughter says only the terrible fact that most crimes are commited by people the victims knew well
Again, as a person before said was that 12 years for this crime is not enough, these people should be sentenced to life prison, so they won't have another chance to hurt another innocent person, if the law would sentence them to life in prison instead of just 12 years then the society would do justice to the victims and to the potential victims
would consider though time travel unit as well to kill the criminal before the crime was commited

I think he is ill, and should be treated, then brought to full mental health, then locked away in a small room for this rest of his days. Religions so often shield these sick , horrible people. Disgusting. I hope the child has a chance of recovery, with help, and a normal life. My thoughts are with her.

He's a run of the mill pedophile that just happens to be an elder in the Jehovah's Witness Church. Why does his religion matter? He could have just as easily been a Jew, or a Muslim or an Atheist. They only mention his religion in order to get people to read the story.

My Uncle is a Corrections Officer and he says there's a special place among the other convicts for pedophiles. Prison inmates hate child molestors and make them into their private s-x slaves. On several occasions pedophiles will have their man hood removed. He's got it coming to him and deserves every horrific torture he will face on the inside.

Of course he's horrible, but I don't think it has anything to do with religion. He's just trying to drum up sympathy by claiming that his position in his church had anything to do with him being a sick pervert. As for the "he should be a priest" idiot, a child molester is a child molester regardless of his proclaimed religion. There are far more molesters who aren't priests than who are. Try to get some facts before spouting off nonsense.

Another child molester that should be in jail for a long time.
I don't like people that hid themselves in religious position to get out or cover up what they do.

Jesus warned of wolves wearing sheep's clothing. But before you judge, maybe you should read Matthew 7:1-5.

Our church elders and leaders tend to be put on the proverbial pedestal. They are in fact JUST men, and shoudl eb treated as such, in life and in punishment for any crimes they commit AS MEN.

I think the sentence that was given to this man was fair. As for the man, he should've given some sort of apology.
