Just saying a prayer is not enough, you must live the rest of your life to please God, or you will never see Heaven.
That does not mean you cannot slip up now and then, just that when you do you must ask forgiveness.

Once you ask Christ to come into your heart, he will always be there for you. Every human on Earth will mess up some time or another. Jesus was the only perfect person to walk the Earth. When you do mess up, all you need to do is pray and to ask him for forgiveness.

I must disagree, if you do slip up (its a guarentee that humans will) you can always ask forgiveness. Jesus would never turn us away and shame on you for putting doubt in the minds of those that are unsure

Everybody makes mistakes if you ask for forgiveness God will forgive you. I believe once saved always saved. There is only one unforgiven sin blasphemy of the holy spirit.

Thats good that you understand that. So do I and all true Christians. So that shouldn't happen. God knows are true hearts, even if we died before we ask for forgiveness from that last sin.

Er. If I ever meet Jesus, I'll be asking for directions to the Summerland, as I'll know there was some HUGE bureaucratic mistake for me to be in the same place as someone who preached that the nasty-tempered, petty god of the OT was the right god to follow.

Preachers teachers men women children and most of the population of the world will be in that company.

If you ask God into your heart he gives you his promise that he will never forsake you will never be snatched from his hand. You can't get to heaven by living right or by works.
