Just wondering. Since it is often compared to the bible, I would to know if it says things like "love your neighbor as yourself", "Love God not with just your heart and soul but also your mind" and the fuit of living in Gods Spirit is Love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness and kindness.
I think it would be a good comparison to know the relative amounts it is mentioned in each book. The bible has allot and that information is easy to obtain. The Koran is not as easily accesable subject to less scruinty, and objective scholarship.

Rephrase the question and ask how many times kafur is mentioned and how to treat disbelievers, perhaps that would be easy to answer.

I haven't counted (though I have read it once), but there are many more references to smiting the neck of a kaffir (non-Muslim) than there are to love.

It should be noted that in addition to the word LOVE, the Holy Qur'an contains numerous usages of words which describe various Aspects of LOVE, such as Beneficence, Mercy, Forgiveness, Patience, Kindness, Charity.
However, since "Irish Giant" claims that "smiting the necks of the disbelievers" is mentioned "many more" times than is "LOVE", and also claims to have read the Qur'an as a basis for his assertion; I figured I'd take his claim to task.
"Smiting the Necks" (2 references)
8:12 When your Lord revealed to the angels; I am with you, so make firm those who believe I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. So smite above the necks and smite every finger-tip of them.
47:4 So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, smite the necks; then, when you have overcome them, make (them) prisoners, and afterwards (set them free) as a favour or for ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (shall be so). And if Allah please, He would certainly exact retribution from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others.
