oh this sounds like so much fun!
you totoally have to play with the camping thing.
MUST have s'mores- especially if there will be kids around :)
get some one to get a BBQ Grill set up - fresh grilled vegetables, grilled salmon/ steaks/ even burgers and hot dogs would be fun. Take everyone on the day camping trip of your dreams.
Try to get picknick tables around and totally have fun.
So i Guess that's more for the reception.
The Ceremony:
If there's trees around get married underneath the branches of one - you could tie flowers on ribbons and hang them from the branches to set the place where you will stand.
put a candle/flower/petal pathway to make an aisle. Everyone could bring lawnchairs or get some nice white wooden foling chairs that can be moved over to the reception.
Make sure your dress won't drag along the gravel (got one w/out a train or a very short one?)
If you're outside in a naturally beautiful place you won't need much decor.
Count on having a backup plan incase it rains - rent a tent or provide umbrellas for everyone(if you have a lot of $$ to spend)
Good Luck, God Bless, and Have Fun!!

Is there any kind of shelter for a picnic area? If so the tables could be moved and that could be your 'chapel'.
If there isn't a structure you can use, then treat it like you would any outdoor wedding. Find a nice area and go from there. Michael's Crafts has their $30 arch on sale this week for $20, at least they do here. Watch for their sales. It would make a good & inexpensive focal point for either setting. It goes together quite easily. For the tulle it only takes about 16 yards. Joann's Fabrics (or other fabric chain stores) have sales on tulle , 2 yds for $1. You'll see a lot of sales now since it's gettin'-ready-for-wedding- season.
See if your library has some books on the subject. Diane Warner's, 'How to have a big wedding on a small budget' is good.
To find an officiant type into Yahoo your city, state & wedding officiant (no 's' onthe end) You will have a few to choose from, usually on the 2nd page. The larger bridal sites seem to get top biling. If you do go to the bridal sites, please visit the site of someone you think you might like. Those bridal sitems make vendors & officiants pay for youe contact info so you may not hear back from someone you'd hoped.
Sit down if you ever have a few moments to yourself (with a toddler & a new baby, will you ever? :) ) and picture the campgrounds and how you "see" your wedding. Ideas will start popping into your head.
Good luck & congratulations

Not sure what you're asking about.
What sorts of ideas do you need?
I would imagine that with all the friends and family around, your children would be well looked after -- though you might want to designate someone to be "primary responsible person" for each child. (Make it someone who doesn't have other major duties. Perhaps a teen-aged relative.)
You know a lot more about the place than we do, so, as I say, I'm not sure what you're asking.
Obviously, you need a good space for everyone to watch and hear the Main Event.
And whatever all you campers would consider comfy places to party afterward.
As for food -- either munchies and such (don't have it during a primary meal time, but a between-meal time -- otherwise you have an obligation to truly feed everyone) or a BBQ or picnic-style meal.
I would have suggested not, but since all the guests like the place, I guess I won't.
You may want to try this question again, but give specific questions as to what you need help with.

I think that that is a great place to get married! If you are going to be there and everyone else is going to be there, that will be so much fun!
As for dress, of course casual! Pick a dress that is very simple and have the groom wear a nice pair of slacks and a shirt, open at the neck. Flowers- very natural. Pick seasonal flowers that looked like you just picked them from the garden.
Food- Cookout! You could do a roasted pig fest, whole chickens over the fire, picnic food.
Since it sounds like there will be kids there, I would go and just have fun!
Music- any musicians in the clan? They can probably help with that.
Make sure some else takes the kids for the night so you get the tent alone for the Honeymoon!
Good Luck!

This is very original, and I think it's very cool. Sounds like fun. I would say have everyone bring their own lawn chairs if they want to sit. Make or rent some type of trellis or archway, and you can interweave real or fake flowers or ivy into it, and get married under that. . If they have a bad insect problem, then have someone go very early and start spraying some area insecticide...like Raid Yard Guard.....that should at least help. Other ideas on insect control are tiki citronella candles on poles that you can put all around the site. The only bad thing about this is that you're going to be at the mercy of the elements. So be prepared in case it rains. You may want to reserve some type of tent......just in case. I like your idea. I wish you the very best of luck.

I think its a great idea. I'm not sure where you live but make sure you plan it around the weather. Don't do it outside and in July or August!!! I would set up chairs and bring out an archway and decorate it all with your theme, maybe an outdoors theme with leaves and flowers. You could have your children come down the aisle by being pulled in a wagon by an older child. Afterwards you could have bbq or whatever your style is. Remember the day is all about your and your other!!! Do what you want and don't worry what others say!!!

Well I'm not quite sure what a gravel pit means but I agree with the other comment about doing it at sunset...are there trees around? you can get inexpensive xmas tree lights to put in the trees...just have rose petals or flowers all around on the ground...
very romantic and close...
get a babysitter to come along for your kids...
then in that enviroment I don't know how formal you want it but you could just have tables with different foods more like grazing where its more of a family gathering...hope that helps

you can either rent or purchase canopies and set them up with casual tables.chairs, to give your guests a shaded area to sit. With no electricity out there, I would suggest votive candles in somekind of candle holder that will shield the candle from being blown out by the breeze for somekind of ambience. Perhaps cookout types of foods to serve? I would shop around for someone willing to drive out to a camping site to marry you. I will assume you want this wedding/reception to be extremely casual, pretty tough to dress up a camping ground by a gravel pit. Its your wedding, have a blast.
