I have Windows XP,SP2 and I use my computer for emailing mail, files, music, video, no work related issues. I haven't had any luck w/ emailing music with Windows Media Player, but have heard if I go thru P2P Music Jukebox, this may help.
My main question is java takes up over 200mb of space. If I use it..I'm not aware of it.
I would like to lose it.

Thanks

Hi Del, Sally here... Java is a necessary component for all pcs and Macs. It allows for animation and other things. You need it and on my mac it updates automatically. You may have to do it yourself. Don't touch it..... You need it!!!! Love ya deliman, sally

nothing to do with music... if you don't have java and I send you a card with a rippling brook you will not see the brook ripple....

Java... fantastic a must have.... interacts with many phases of computer. Do not remove or attempt to. Be happy you have it!!!!! love ya, sally

It highly likely that you use Java without being aware of it. Java is used by many web sites, and by some non-Microsoft configuration software. If you want ot see if it is necessary, You can disable it in you browser.
