I would follow my head first then heart depending on the situation. Usually the first thing that comes to your mind is from your head. Then you will need to judge it with your heart what you really want to do.

Depending on the situation, I follow either my heart or my head; however, my husband follows his heart sometimes, but normally both his heads (big and small).

Both. In some cases you have to give all of your heart in order to settle your mind. And in other cases following your Heart is irrational and selfish.
In making all desicions in Life we should listen to both our Heart and our Mind. If we take one without the other, either way we are hurting ourselves or others.
Our Hearts tell us what we WANT where as the Mind tells us what we NEED.
Many people that follow only their Heart make many selfish desicions In life, because they are only trying to satisfy THEIR Hearts desire. Many people that follow only their Mind will be left with logical, yet unfeeling answers and solutions.
In Listening to Both, we satisfy both of our needs and do it in a way that our desicions won't effect others in a negative way...

I try to follow both in as balanced a way as possible. If I follow my heart only I could make some pretty stupid mistakes. If I follow my head only, I could be pretty cruel and unfeeling.

I try to follow my head. The emotions of the heart are too unstable to be a propper guide. God gave us brains to use to control the body. Also, in my experience and the experiences of others, the heart will always lead you into trouble.

Now THAT is a good question! I try to get them to "work together" If I can. They work well as a team. But when I have the "inner knowing" of the Holy Spirit, working with my mental abilities and my emotions in harmony..That is the best.!

YOUR HEAD!!!!

unless you really want to badly get hurt and demoralize yourself. your brain always tells you what the right thing to do is, somehow, it can distinguish between the right and the wrong. however your heart is the weaker one who wants to succomb to earthly pleasures.

we have an obligation to do what is right more than what actually pleases us.
