Patience. Try and remember what you were like at that age. Only try to be a "bad guy" when the kids are doing something dangerous or highly against the laws of society.
But above all, have fun with them. Engage them at their level; don't make them look up at you if you can help it.

Children love when you show an interest in them. Color or do a puzzle - help with homework. My son is in a before school program and the lady has actually helped him tremendously in his reading!! Be patient and you'll have a lot of little friends!

When you talk to kids you need to bend down and be at thier level, it is less frightening having someone towering over you!
