I start talking and writing about some subject that I want others
to hear about and some people do not want to hear
the truth about it and people are scared and frightened by the truth

I mean I want to be truthful and honest and you cannot speak
truth without some person deleting what you say
And most people will accept a lie over truth

Oh, darling...you speak true words of wisdom...I couldn't agree more! But you know sometimes it's easier to tell or hear a lie because it complies with our beliefs. Like, it's hard to think outside the box or sometimes we just don't want to hear the truth cos we don't want to be hurt. But I suggest you keep speaking the truth no matter how much they want to bring you down. Cos at the end of the day they are not important; YOU are important and YOU have to be able to live with yourself.

It is hard to accept reality, but in the end we can no longer hide from the truth of a world with no god(s). I have never understood why it was so scary to let go of the fairytale of God, either. I think it is a safety net, a blanky if you will. Some people just need something to hold onto. Others can accept a life in which they must answer to their own conscience and make their lives worth something on their own. And then the Truth will set you free.

What is truth and what make you qualified to say what is true and what is not?

This is not a forum to write about subjects, it is a question and answer forum where your questions and answers are evaluated by others. As far as I know you can't delete another's answer or question unless it violates the Y! guidelines, in which case it may be reported.

Most people don't accept lies, although in the case of R&S, a lie may be a religion other than your own (or in another's case, your religion).

There is a difference between being truthful and being petty. Some truths (like: I don't like you) are better left unsaid. The TRUTH (with capital letters) isn't actually known. Most of what we consider truths, that need to be said, are actually not true at all, just opinions.

Are people afraid of the truth, or are they just not willing to look for truth?

I believe some people do not want to hear the truth because they are believing they lies that the enemy has told them and they are blinded. My opinion is this they are afraid to hear the truth about God because then they will have to change their sinful ways. Their flesh wants to keep sinning. It is a battle over spirit and flesh. What people don't realize wants the come into his precious arms, all this will pass and he will take the sin out of your life and replace the sin with something much better and mightier.

The "Truth" is relative and depends on who is speaking. What you believe to be the "Truth" may not be what I believe to be the "Truth." We all see the world through our own eyes and form our beliefs and opinions based on what we have lived. And, we all live different lives and realities.

Some "Truth" is just someone's opinion and as Salt-N-Pepa say in their song, None of Your Business, "Opinions are like assholes, and everybody's got one."

Stop trying to cram your "Truth" down other people's throats.

You can, of course, talk and write about any subject you want. But by declaring your statement a "truth" you are in fact offending people. What you tell them is essentially: no doubt allowed, no criticism allowed, no other opinion allowed. This is very, very intolerant. No one should fancy his own opinions "truths". If you state your opinions as what they are, as opinions, no one has reason to be offended.

Many people agree a lie over truth. It is not easy to be truthful, but we should certainly try.

If you're so about the Truth...have you ever considered REALLY researching with an unbiased eye, your religion?

The TRUTH really IS scary...but only to those of a religious persuasion.

One man's truth is another man's lie.

When it comes to religion and spirituality there is no truth. Only opinions and subjective, personal interpretation.
