I'm an atheist, myself, and even I personally find it odd that they didn't any dating tests to find out whether or not any of these remains were old enough to be any of the people they suspect. That would be the first test I would do, why wasn't it theirs?

Well, I don't really see that you have a question. Just a statement.

Yes, the spirit could be raised up without the body. But we are told that when the women came to the tomb Sunday morning...it was empty. They didn't find his body there...their first thought was that someone had stolen his body. Then he spoke to them and they realized he'd been raised from the dead.

So, if his body wasn't in the tomb on the third day when he rose, I doubt it came back at some point and was then buried.

They have no way of knowing whose bones they found. They have no way of knowing for sure that the name on the box is definitey the very common name of Jesus. We do not have Jesus's DNA to match against what was found, so all they can do is determine that it's a husband wife and possibly a son...we don't know that it was a baby. If they dug up the bones of any family...most likely the husband and wife's DNA would show they were not related and the child's DNA would show that it was the child of the husband and wife. This is for most every family in the world...certainly nothing to get excited over.

These are family tombs...families had these tombs for decades even centuries. Things we don't really do today. They buried people, then dug them up and put the bones in these ossuaries. Sometimes they put more then one persons bones in the ossuaries to make room becasue there were so many in the tomb.

There are so many reasons that all this is speculative. I'm sure you've read a lot of it. It just doesn't seem worth all the hoopla it's caused. It's just good marketing on their part...and many people have taken the bait.

Whether or not you believe Jesus is the Son of God really has nothing to do with the findings. Unless the scientists have some original DNA from Jesus of Nazareth to compare with the DNA found in the tombs, how can they say for certain it is THE Jesus? They can't. All they can prove is a relationship (or lack of one) within the remains that were found (27 years ago!). So, it can be a family who have some of the names that were in the Holy Bible, but it does not mean it's The Christ. I know it's not My Savior because He is risen and alive!

May God Bless you.

The show was meant only to stir up more controversy, not answer any questions. No human understands the methodology of the resurrection and the DNA testing is so limited it can only prove non-relationship, or possible matriarchal relationship. There is nothing to get stressed about by either believers or non-believers. It is interesting, especially the science, but it offers no evidence of the spiritual realm of Christ's earthly existence.

What liberal media? i'm a liberal, and that i don't see a liberal media. Christians have been making use of their own Bible as an excuse to attack another faith interior the worldwide for 1700 years and to thoroughly wipe out countless unique cultures fullyyt. So excuse me collectively as I cry a single tear for the worldwide's greatest faith collectively because it particularly is under attack by a pair of flicks, television shows, and books. i'm constructive your experience of oppression is insupportable. As for The Tomb of Jesus, it replace into shot in Israel. Who else could have carried out it, Nepalis?

You either believe God's Word or you don't believe God's Word and the Bible says that only his wrappings were nicely folded and left where they laid Him. No body and no bones.

Whoever they found in that dumb box was not Christ Jesus.
They know it but they'll mock the Lord just to make money as the unbelieving have always done. Until Jesus comes into their hearts - their hearts will be hardened.

They got the DNA from Mary. Who exactly knows that it was Mary? Jesus is God and He ascended and there was no body in the tomb. He appeared again to His disciples in body, not in spirit. He showed His wounded hands and they felt them. So He reappeared in the flesh.

Beavis, I am curious. How is it that you "don't believe" yet you think there is a Heaven. As such, do you also believe there is a Hell. And if so, where do you choose to spend eternity? I am praying for you.

this is a useless subject because even if they find supporting evidence, the christian church will make sure to silence the findings. i would like to think that these people aren't that stupid, but you never know.
