You spelled 'poubelle' correctly.
Beautiful word for a garbage can, ain't it?
Due to that 'belle' of course.
Did you know that this word is derived
from the name of a head of a French department ('de la Seine')
who imposed the trash can?

One of my favorites in English is : smithereens

(the Dutch word for it is : gruzelementen, and I like that word too)

In French : étoile [ among many others, like 'Corneille' :-) ]

in German : wunderschön

Mine is "desasosegado" - which means "uneasy" in Spanish; I had to learn it whilst studying Spanish at school. All those 's's gave me a real headache for weeks, and it was a real achievement when I eventually got it!

I also like really long words in agglutinative languages like Turkish:

For example:
"avrupalılanabileceklerdenmiş-
siniz"

(I had to write in on 2 lines with a hyphen as this wretched space keeps truncating it when I write it one one line)
- which means "you are allegedly one of those people who will be able to be Europeanised"

...and a recent discovery: supisiki - which is Quechua for someone who farts too much.

Irrumare. Latin word that means "to force oral sex upon someone for the sole purpose of humiliation". Shows up in Catullus and the Carmina Priapea a lot. Always loved that word.

i like 'charolastra' from the film 'y tu mama tambien'. i think the two main characters make it up. 'charo' is a mexican cowboy, so 'charolastra' is kind of an astro cowboy
