I have never thought of it in that way, but I would have to say, Yes.I feel so sorry for anyone that has a drinking problem. All the money, time ,and heartache that it leads to is too much.I was raised by one and I really feel like I missed out on Life as a child. So it is a lifestyle.....Good observation...

Yep if one chooses to be an alcoholic then one chooses a life of misery and self destruction it is definitely a lifestyle. A disease does not make you take the first or the hundredth drink

No, it's a serious addiction that has life shattering results for you and your loved ones, and sometimes innocent by-standers. Alcoholics are slaves to their addiction, and slavery is no lifestyle!

I think alcoholics have addictive behaviors, they're likely addicted to other things as well...like drugs or video games. They're just more easily hooked than others & can't stop.

I suppose you could call it that. Maybe a self-imposed lifestyle that is neither glamorous nor desirable.

well that depends. if you are seriously doing yourself physical damage, or social damage, then its a disease. if you like to drink 2-3 drinks everyday, woudl be lost without them, but it doesnt greatly damange you socially or physically, then yes i think it coudl be a lifestyle.

sure, you get a bunch of drinkers together for a long enouph time, they will only know how to socialize over drinking and when it stops they will have to figure out a differnt way to hang out
but it is a pissa of a life stye
