My friends say that I am a bit of a meany when it comes to dealing with guys. They say that I cut them off when they are talking, say mean things, and tell them to shut up. It is all in jest, but they say that the guys seem not to like it. I don't see that. They continue to hang out with me despite the ill treatment. Why is that? What can I do to lighten up a bit?

The fact that you are aware that you are not treating them kindly, then you know how to lighten up, just change your behavior.

think before you speak. being mean does work on boys but when you get older real men will just think your a B i T C h. there is nothing more obnoxious than someone who cuts you off when you are talking. it is disrespectful.
