Contact your town/city's property standards department to find out. Usually it is not allowed.

Any road-legal vehicle (ie Taxed, MOT, Insured) can park in any appropraite parking place (ie not on double-yellows, or in private bays, or on zebra crossings), so unless they are causing a criminal nuisance, I'm afraid you're stuck with it.

If you can get together enough like-minded people, and there is a tangible nuisance being caused, you ccould try talking to teh local Council about it en masse, but then again, you might as well try talking German to them for the good it'll do - probably end up resulting in another council tax hike!!

As someone mentioned above, it's not very considerate, but how many considerate taxi drivers do you know of??!!

the only rule I know is you are not allowed to run a business from a rented council house as regards the taxis. providing they are legal ie. taxed, insured and MOT'd if necessary they can park anywhere providing there are no parking restrictions in place eg. yellow lines or resident permit holders bays

It's allowed if they have the permission of the local council, and have the relevant insurances etc. to run their business from where they run it. As long as they're legally parked, and have tax/insurance etc. a car can be parked on any road.

It wouldn't be a criminal offence but may be a civil one (not trained in those)
As said already, contact your local council who should be able to advise you further.
I usually find that Taxi drivers have their own personal set of rules anyway so they won't care about upsetting anyone

I think you can only park outside a residential property with the consent of the occupier also you aren't allowed to park by dropped kerbs either, so yeah I think you have a case moan to council and they send them a letter.

If they own the house and the cars are taced then yes. its just a bit inconsiderate.....
You have no RIGHT to park outside your home, but if you have off road parking you have the right to access the highway!

its not illegal if they have a valid private hire operators licence. However the one thing you might get them on is that their mortgage might forbid them from running a business out of the house
