i know it's not contagious.....but why people do that thou....just wondering???

It's contagious.
When we see someone yawn, we unconsciously yearn to replicate the action ourselves, and do it, all without thinking about it.
This also occurs among chimpanzees...perhaps this is where the saying "monkee see, monkey do" originated.

it probably reminds their body that it needs more oxygen, hence, they yawn to get more.
oh, and Starryeye... I've gotten people to yawn by pretending to yawn before, so your case is just a coincidence sorry to burst your bubble.

IDK but it doesn't work when I TRY to get peopel to yawn...
maybe it really means that the oxygen levels are low, and we just happen to get cued into ti this way.
