when there are murderers, rapists, child molesters and such who are christians, and i'm sure some still fight these feelings even though they have turned to christ. so why can't a gay person also believe in christ?

I'm offended that anyone would even compare a gay person to a murderer, rapist, or child molester. I have no doubt that there are many gay christians who are just as faithful as heterosexuals.

To be a Christian means to be a follower of Christ. To do that, one follows the ways and laws. In old testament times it was very forbidden. It goes against the natural order of things. God created man after His own image. If none of us had genitalia, then I wonder if there would be gays at all or would it matter? Sex was made for the procreation, reproduction of the species in all animals it appears as well pleasure as in the song of Solomon for a man and wife to enjoy each other. You can always follow Christ's instruction and ways, but it's hard to set an example for others if you sin openly or even hidden and challenge God's best works for you. I don not disagree you have passions for a gay lifestyle and the same sex, but the word and idea of sex is always present, male or female. If a young teen came to you and asked the same question, would you turn him from the norm or say go gay?

A person who hasn't turned over their old lifestyle to God cannot call themselves Christian. Murderers, rapists, child molesters, and even homosexuals have to be HEALED of their need to do things that are against the will of God in order to be able to have salvation. Such things are an abomination to God and cannot exist in the same planes of an individuals life. To do so would compromise God's law which says, "No man can serve two masters. For he would love one and hate the other." In other words, he'd cling to something from his past due to an unwillingness to let go. The Scripture also teaches, "For what communion hath light (good) with darkness (evil)? What concord (relationship) hath Christ with Belial (false idol)?" Anything we put in front of serving God that is against His will and His Word is an affront to Him and therefore separates us from His grace.

Love the sinner but hate the sin. Even some of jesus' followers did lead bad lives before they met HIm. Jesus still accepted them even if they were criminals and such. The world must be fair right? Jesus let them in and they felt sorry and told him that they would start to lead good lives. Check the stories of Matthew and Paul, and Mary Magdalene. Bad people turned good.

They can become christians, yes. But as of them still being gay and a christian no, now if they are struggling with this and being a christian God will reveal himself to them and if they have a open mind and spirit God will take that away from them

Catechism of the Catholic Church says:

"2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition."

They CAN believe in Christ.

Now whether they follow the scriptures is another story.

I can if I want to commune with bigots that accept with their mouths and condemn with their hearts. Their doctrine of "hate the sin love the sinner" is nothing but lip service that deceives them into feeling superior inside.

I will not to place myself in the hands of those that will despise me.

They can. But they are no longer to act on their tendencies. Just as the "murderers, rapists, child molesters and such" aren't to act on theirs either.

As it is written: "You know that wicked people will not inherit the kingdom of God, don't you? Stop deceiving yourselves! Sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunks, slanderers, and robbers will not inherit the kingdom of God." (I Corinthians 6:9-10)

It then continues with:

"That is what some of you were! But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." (verse 11)

Notice it says "were." A past tense condition. You cannot continue in a life-dominating sin, and expect to remain a Christian. We are called to control our passions. And if you have the Holy Spirit, it can be done.

As John writes: "If we claim that we have fellowship with him but keep living in the darkness, we are lying and the truth is not in us." (I John 1:6)
