to be honest with you; if she thinks of you as wimpy...its is very unlikely that she will go out. A woman knows what she likes and she goes for it most of the time....I did not see too many women that like wimpy...so you must try to do a bit of changing if you are still young...read some books in this area so you can improve all over and the next time will be a sure fire way...or maybe the same lady will notice that the wimpy boy has grown to be a wonderful strong man....

To be honest i dont think you should ask her out since she think of you as wimpy. Since you've known her for 6 years that comes across as negative, unless she was joking. Just continue to be her friend, if possible. cause when you have that kind of feeling for someone it will be hard - you may even need to break away from her for awhile. On a positive note try finding out from her what you are doing to come across as wimpy and try you best to rectify it-only if its a constructive comment/reason. Then no one else who you are attracted to will see you in that way or better still, she might actually fall for you. Hope that helps.

Sorry, but the answer does have to be "just do it". There is no magical way to make someone go out with you. You just have to ask. If she thinks you are "wimpy", and you believe this to be the reason she doesn't want to go out with you, then join a gym, build some muscles, and then ask her out.
But do you really want a girl who is only interested in your non-wimpiness?

If she thinks you are wimpy you might have to show her your sense of humour to get a date! Girls love a funny guy! I would just ask her if she dares to date Mr Wimpy and see what happens. If she laughs you are onto a winner, keep asking and break her resistance. If she tells you where to go, without a smile on her face, run like the wind.

Have you ever thought that maybe she thinks of you as wimpy becoz you haven't asked her out even thought you fancied her for so long? Try to prove to her that you have something great to offer her. If not, i don't think you should ask her out. You would only face rejection.

What she thinks of you being wimpy might indicate that you have taken too many years to ask her out. If you still want to, just ask. What have you got to lose? She might even say Yes.

Well, if she thinks you're wimpy, then she's not really gonna go out with you, is she? Don't bother, you'll just get hurt
