I recently bought a bunch of Avon products, mostly Anew & Clearskin. Ive been using them for about 4 days now. I've been using the Anew products in the morning & the Clearskin products at night. Now my face is red, I can feel little welts, it must be a rash. An allergic reaction to one of the products. When I wash my face now, it becomes really tight & dry & my skin is starting to flake off. It hurts. Regular lotion burns (I assume because of the perfumes in the lotions.) Can anyone recommend a good face wash & lotion that I can use, to soothe the pain & help my skin heal? Also, which of the products would you think would be more likely to have caused the allergic reaction? I had a friend say that the Clearskin products caused her face to have a rash. So I'm wondering if it may be the Clearskin or possiby the chance that I mixed the different products. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Obviously you had a reaction to the salicylic acid anew and clearskin has. This is unless you used the benzoyl peroxide creams all over your face WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT DO!. The benzoyl peroxide is only for problem areas and should be limited to one application per NIGHT.The Avon representative was supposed to test your skin before you got these things but since the damage is done the best thing you can do is give them to a friend.

Your skin is sensitive, that's why it feels really tight and dry after you wash it. I suggest that you use Cetaphil for while since this was originally prescribed for people with sensitive skin. Now, since you mentioned the clearskin products and this probably means that you have acne, I suggest buying the proactive repairing lotion ONLY! These people con you into buying the whole thing when the repairing lotion is just as good alone with a normal skin liquid cleanser. You can get the repairing lotion through the Internet by itself or at your local mall at a PROACTIVE stand.

Since you have welts right now just use the Cetaphil until your face gets better. Don't use any creams or what not until you feel your face is "Your Face" again. Try this for a week.
After seven days see a Dermatologist if it doesn't get better. Remember that when you buy something you must always try it out first before you buy the whole line of products. Hope this helps

You should stop using the products right away, I think you're allergic to the ingredients. A consultation with a dermatologist would help you to identify which ingredients to avoid in future product purchases. Don't make any assumptions about which ingredient it is, until you have been told by a Dr. Even the seemingly gentlest products can be harmful if you're allergic.

Try applying some pure aloe in the meantime to help soothe the burning and treat whatever damage has happened to your sensitive skin. In the future you may want to select a hypoallergenic product to save you the aggrevation of having to deal with the pain and embarrassment of red irritated skin.

I hope this helps!

The EXACT same thing has happened to me. I began using Clearskin on Monday, and by Wednesday my face looked and felt TERRIBLE. It is now Friday, and my face is looking worse every day. I don't know what to do. My face feels like it is on fire. I've been using aloe, but it isn't helping. If you found something to soothe you, please let me know what it was.

i don't see why a guy could not use them. look into the ingrediants and make constructive it particularly is not something you're allergic to or something that would conflict with any medicatin your taking good now. (some products have herbs or different organic ingrediants that react with drugs) possibilities are high it particularly is super to apply. while uncertain call up a dermatologist and ask. they might understand for constructive.
