Okay, I wasn't clear- when I connect to the internet, it starts. I close it, and less than two minutes pass before it is opening itself again. It is not only on startup.

Limewire = Problems (virus, adware, trojan etc) You must strip your computer and reload all your programs. If you dont know how to do this call a pro. (Data Dr or Geek squad) ANSD STAY OFF LIMEWIRE

yes here is your solution lol 1- go to the start tab and hit run 2 - once there type in msconfig 3 - go over to start up and uncheck the limewire box then press apply, and as a word of caution i wouldnt go checking and unchecking anything else in ere that you dont know what it is , if you check something an it is needed at startup well guess what your comp ont start p and 9 times out of 10 your computer will become unstable and not start up at all which in this case you will have to reformat the hd and install your os and loose your data so look the rule of thumb is never check a windows files and only check program files that you recognise or that you know for sur you installed like messenger, windows office etc.

go to start, run, then type in msconfig. go to the startup tab, find limewire, uncheck it, and save your changes you'll have to restart your computer afterwards.
