Perms are good the best way to get a perm is at a salon they can judge best what sort of perm is best suited for your hair but it's not all about the perm it's about taking care of your hair with regular shampoo's and conditioners both before and after your perm also regular trips to hairdresser for trims.

You should really think long and hard about getting a perm because you can really mess up the texture of your hair. Have you ever seen people with bad perms? Your hair can dry out and become frizzy. As a male, you can get a texturizer, which helps the hair to become curly. If you do decide to put chemicals in your hair, please allow a professional to do it. Good Luck.

It's okay! Other people might not have your same tastes, and they might not appreciate your style, but they don't have to look at you if they don't want to. If you like the look, the idea, the feel, etc., then go for it! You aren't hurting yourself or anyone else by changing your hairstyle, so do what makes you feel good about yourself. Also, the beautiful thing about hair is that is grows out. If you get the perm and you hate it, then you just have to destroy all your 2007 yearbook pictures. You won't be stuck with the same look for the rest of your life.

Don't listen to people who pick on you for your tastes and style. They are bullies and they are insecure in themselves if they feel such a need to pick on you. As long as you won't be hurting yourself or anyone else, then do what you want to do!

Have fun!

Yes it sure is. If you want one do it. Perms are not just for women. About a month ago 4 of my male friends gave themselves perms. And my grandpa used to do it all the time. If you want it do it.

A kid I knew well walked into school one day with a perm (we'll have been around 15 at the time) and 16 years later he is still getting ribbed about it.!!
My advice ... don't go there!!

Perms damage your hair , not too mention the use of toxic chemicals.

Mom and grandma should be careful.

Look for a semi-permanent solution.

Talk to a trusted stylist and have them give you a consult.

if you think it wld look nice and you'll feel good with it, why not?
but frankly speaking i've nv seen any guys with tight curly perm. i have two guy friends who went to perm their hair but theirs is lose kinda... loose and ruffled perm... i guess that would suit a guy more than tight curls. maybe you can reconsider the kinda curls you want.

Personally i wouldn't but it is your hair so if you want a perm then get one. Remember it will grow out if you don't like it.
