Quakers (Society of Friends)-pacifists-believe in equality, good works-meetings are held in silence unless someone is moved to speak
Mormons (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints)-based upon the Book of Mormon, a holy book that is considered to be a companion to the Bible-believe that Native Americans are the Lost Tribes of Israel; in early years, practiced polygamy; believe in aggressive proselytizing; believe in baptizing the dead into the LDS faith; don't drink alcohol or coffee or smoke
Mennonites-closely related to the Amish, this group believes in plain dress-women wear scarves or prayer caps-believe in hard work-drive vehicles, own stores, pacifists
Amish-plain dress-women wear prayer caps-do not use electricity-believe in hard work-children go to school only through 8th grade-mostly farmers, but some own stores-pacifists.

Quakers, Menonites and Amish choose to live a simple, technology free life. They normally live on farms, with no modern appliances, cars, phones, etc. They dress in 18th century colors (black) and styles (beards for men, etc).
Mormons are followers of a religion founded by Joseph Smith. He claims that as a 17 year old he was shown the location of gold plates buried in New York that tell the story of Jews who sailed to America before the time of Jesus. These plates were translated as the Book of Mormons. It is treated by the Mormons as an addition to the Bible.

I believe that there are faithful bible believing christians in all denominations. Just as there are wolves in sheeps clothing in basic mainstream churhes.
When ya take Christians down to the remnant God's word describes as being persecuted by a dragon - satan-deception, and they are keeping God's Ten Commandments and the testimony and faith of JESUS.
Rev 14v
12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Hey, I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (or Mormon) and I don't think I can define my religion in one sentence...but let me give you the link to the official church website that give a run down of our basic beliefs, and you can peruse it as you like:
http://www.mormon.org/welcome/0,6929,403-1,00.html
Thanks
Edit - sorry Kyle D, I have been through every temple ordinance, and nobody gets killed, or even remotely injured, scratched or anything like that. I can't believe someone actually told you that - that's so bizarre!

It's simply that old question, put ten people in a room give them the question, and you get ten different answers, religion is the same we have so many interpretations of the bible today it's no wonder so many people are so confused, all religious denominations today think they have the right answer, when in fact every dam one of them preach false prophecy.
