Good question. What's hard for me to understand is why God created imperfect beings, only to judge us because we are imperfect... it's circular.

It is not that it is wrong it is that one should not let things like jealousy or lust over come them because things such as jealousy and lust can consume a person to a point where jealousy can lead to hate and lust can lead to adultery and in some cases addictions. Jealousy and anger and hate and all negative emotions to me can lead one to do things that are not good for anyone especially the person who is feeling these emotions. And having these types of emotions leaves the door open for other temptations

Because what comes naturally to us is sin. Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's good. The Bible says we are born in sin..so this means our natural inclinations are sinful and not God-like. We are called away from sin...that is away from our natural inclinations, we are called to be holy. This takes self-sacrifice...again something that doesn't come naturally to us.
God didn't give us the gift of emotion...God gave us the gift of life and his image, we have defiled both of them.

It's not the emotion itself that's a sin, but what you do with the sin. Jealousy could cause you to hate your neighbor, lust could cause you to take advantage of people sexually; etc. When you find yourself feeling one of these emotions, you are supposed to check your emotions and deal with it in a healthy way. For instance, if you think "That celebrity is hot and I'd like to go to bed with him/her," you should remind yourself, "But I will never have a sexual relationship with him/her and I accept it and do not intend to act on my emotions."

Because most religion is all about self-flagellation... or really control for the masses. Religion has been used to keep people under control for ages, used as tools for conflict and used as justification for the wealthy and powerful to stay that way.

Emotions can't be sin. If they were, then the "God" the Christians refer to is unfitting of worship.

God gave us many gifts and abilities when He created us. Through sin these gifts and abilities have been perverted.

God likes to see people beg... superiority fetish. He smiles "extra special" when he sees people feeling guilty.
It must make him feel better about killing all those people, huh?
