Every religion is different even if it does fall into the "christian" catagory. My grandmother is a Jehovah's Witness and she is very insulting when it comes to other religions. But then again one of my aunts is catholic and she is just as insulting about other religions as my grandmother is. So, when it comes right down to it, no matter how polite we think we are, people of all religions insult each other at one time or another.

In all fairness, most JWs are polite and sincere. A few are insulting and rude (when they come across someone / something that exposes an error in their belief system). But don't let those few hot-heads mislead you on this point. There are other things about them that could give the impression they are insulting due to the way they have been trained, and due to their absorption of their leaders' literature. But they themselves are not aware of this impression they give and would be shocked to have it pointed out.

For example, their leaders have said things like, "Religion is a snare and a racket" and, "The clergy of Christendom are like the burst open figs that cannot be eaten for badness" and they're like the drunks mentioned in Isaiah. The most reprehensible part of the whore of Revelation - Babylon the Great - is Christendom (and all other religions are part of this Evil also). They believe all clergymen are in the Devil's employ. JWs have to read masses of such literature, answer questions on it at two meetings per week, and it's a form of poison they are being drip-fed. I feel so sorry for them. It's a wonder they are as polite as they are!

So, don't give individual JWs a hard time, please. Their minds are controlled to believe all other religions are Evil and only their religion pleases God. We need to find a simple and polite way to explain why that just isn't true.

There seems to be many MULTIPLES more insults against Jehovah's Witnesses than by Jehovah's Witnesses.

A Witness may share four or five Scriptures to back up some belief, while an anti-Witness typically includes no Scriptures in her rant that the Witness is "brainwashed". A Witness may plainly express that Christ is his Lord and Head, but an anti-Witness will retort that the Witness is a "cultist" and "not a Christian". A Witness parent may fly his child halfway around the world to pursue the best surgeon in the world, and anti-Witnesses will insist that he "wants to kill his child".

But such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

I don't think they mean to insult people. Being a witness of Jehovah myself, we re taught to be tactful and respectful with answering any questions about our faith. I think because we believe so strongly about things, that emotions may run a little high, especially when someone is being disrespectful to us. On behlf of all my brothers and sisters, I apologize if any one feels this way. We know the end is near, and we just really want people to see the light.

Excuse me? We are the ones who are insulting? Show me an example or a link. Don't even bother cause you won't find anything.

Consider what one businessman wrote to the world headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses: “I am writing to ask permission to hire Jehovah’s Witnesses. I want to hire them because I know for a fact that they are honest, sincere, and trustworthy, and they will not cheat you. The only people I really trust are Jehovah’s Witnesses. Please help me.”

Jehovah's Witnesses don't lie or cheat. They are respectful, serious, loving.
Many persons after coming to the Kingdom Hall for the first time said that they were amazed by the way they were received. They said that they felt love and warm. That's how I felt too.

So, don't judge us before you know us.

There are less than tactful people in ALL beliefs. I personaly strive to be polite with others. I, also, think that at times when one believes firmly something that is the opposite, or different, from others it is easy to feel we are being attacked even when they are not trying to be rude.

Yes we do believe that Jesus is the son of God.

Anywho, I can't speak for all but i know for me, when i know something is right i know its right, and when others can't see that i feel bad for them and im like HELLO its right from the bible. "christians" know what is right but still choose to do what is wrong. Point in case the cross many will admit that jesus did not die on a cross but they still have one. And thats not right, and holidays everyone knows its not from christian beliefs but "christians" still celebrate them.

I see it as a disrespect to our most high God. I feel very strongly about what i believe, and when people act dumb, thats when I just say w/e i need to say.

Many don't mean to offend other people but religion is a sensitive subject so any little thing can be taken in offense.

I think that if people really search for the answers that we show them from the bible, it would be so plain and obvious to them, we show them the trinity is false, they still say its true, we show them that jesus did not die on a cross they still say he did, we show them that their is no life after death they say they want to go to heaven.

And all these things we show them is from the bible, and i believe if you go against what the bible says, you might as well not even TRY to be a "christian". IF i read something from the bible that says driving a car is wrong guess what Im walking for the rest of my days. Because Jehovah does not change, his laws do not change. And i want to please God.

But many don't care if they please God or not, they say oh we are all sinners, true but if u know what is right and u do wrong KNOWING that its wrong then God will judge you for that....and he will if you don't accept the truth.

If we defend our faith, we are said to be insulting someone. But it seems just the opposite is true. People say things about us which are totally untrue. Jesus often defended himself as did his followers, and we do the same. Some claim that we do not believe in Jesus. We not only believe in him, we pray to Jehovah through Jesus' name and give honor to him as our reigning King in heaven.
It is always best if you ask one of us what our beliefs are, rather than get false information from unreliable sources. That way, no one is insulted, but rather well-informed.

If we try to teach from the bible, we are following God's commands. He is no respector of people's thinking, and all we can do is try to follow him.
Since we cannot please everyone's sensitivity, all we can do is try to educate the majority.
In most cases we use the bible for our authority. On this medium questions are asked for opinion. "Then" it is our bible based opinion we offer.
Most of us will do our best to help. If we give an answer that "Stings".......sorry if we hit a nerve.

As to Christianity.........many claim to be Christians, but few are doing his work. How can you be a Christian without teaching people the truth? He showed us how to talk to people , he showed us to "find" people. He knocked on many doors, and like us was also rejected by many. He even said for us to bless the home of those who listened, and to "Kick" the dust of non listeners homes from off our feet.
Yes! It's all there in your bible.

They are christians but have strange beliefs. They dont believe Jesus was crucified and killed on the cross which is what i thought all christians believed. They think that he was killed on a torture stake. I was even wondering where this guy in my class who is a jehovah's witness was getting his beliefs from.
