If we were to follow the Bible strictly...
We would be living in a loving relationship with our spouse
We would have the support of people around in the time of crisis or need
We would always have enough financially to pay and have enough left over to give generously
We would be productive in everything that we set up to accomplish
We would be free from any emotional scars, baggage, damage and fears
We would have a heart that gives and cares for others
We would be free of sickness and disease
We would not have to worry about our children
We would be living with all our needs meet and our desires fulfilled
Sounds like it would be worth living such a life to me....

In my opinion no, since following the Christian Bible strictly would depend on OT or NT, what Jesus said vs what Paul said. I think I'm much better off as a pagan.

There are too many contradictions in the bible to be able to follow all of it strictly.

The Bible is fine as a guide, but doesn't anticipate every possible situation. I feel it is more important to live in the spirit of what is taught and to trust your own goodness than to stick rigidly to doctrine.

i suppose most things might be quite nice. but there'd be a few things that'd be a little bit annoying.
i wouldn't be able to eat prawns or mussels. and i love prawns and mussels.
i'd always be slightly worried that my husband might sell my daughter into slavery. but at least we'd get a fair price.
for a week every month i wouldn't be allowed to talk to any men.
i'd resent always that because i'm long sighted i'd never be able to go to heaven.
i like clean shaven men with short hair.this would not be catered for.
we'd all be screwed if we had a medical emergency on the sabbath. nobody would be allowed to work.
and i'd have to find an alternative to my favourite outfit that is my faded blue jeans and my tweedy woollen jumper. nightmare.
but we could all have slaves, as long as they were from neighbouring countries of course. so every cloud and all that...

If we followed the bible we would all be deceitful, liers, rapists and murderers. I don't think anyone would like to live in that sort of society.
Even Moses condoned rape.
