Jesus had said that in those days...etc. This is just a fulfillment of prophecy. Many might refer to it as a return to those times in Rome and Greece. Many Christians refuse to endorse what they believe to be immoral. This is why we have certain areas in the country that do. Mostly it appears because they have money and different standards and interpretations about what love and forgiveness is. In their mind Christians are the hypocrites. The meek shall inherit the earth might have a new meaning to those who interpret it for their own causes.

Ridiculous. In what way do you think that christians aren't free to practice their religion? Freedom of religion does NOT mean that you can prevent people from saying bad things about your religion. In fact, freedom of speech specifically says you CANNOT. If you're too weak to deal with something as small as that, I'm afraid you're going to have a very difficult time with life's *real* problems.

No one is denying you your right to your religion. You are not being oppressed! Meanwhile, gay rights are being denied. You want to talk about hate? I'm sure that gay people experience far more hate than any christian does. In this day and age to still have so many homophobic people is disgusting. You have your freedom. Enjoy it. Gays, at this point, cannot say the same. But one day, they will.

The right to be homosexual goes hand in hand with freedom of religion, from what I see. People who have the right to freedom of religion have the right to choose a belief system that they like, one which condones or condemns homosexuality, whichever they like. Separation of church & state means that one religion shouldn't get to make laws that prohibit another religion.

My guess is that religion has a great degree of freedom while homosexuals have such a small degree of freedom. That only makes sense, you don't need to fight for the freedom of what's already free, only fight to maintain that freedom.

Dear, We already have freedom of religion... Or "from" religion, as it were...
It's time homosexuals got the same rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that is afforded the rest of us...
Peace

Homosexuality = love
Religion = hate, control, and oppression

Your talking about one thing that you can't control and that doesn't affect anyone but the individual and one thing that can be cured by education that has a significant affect on all of society.

That's why.

I agree! That's why I supported Bob Dole for President! Me and my best friend Javier spent a lot of time together at the rallies, and would give each other neck massages when we got tired.

It's just backlash from centuries of hate and persecution from Christianity.
