My thoughts exactly. I think everyone just forgot.

Old Fashioned Love is still here. Look beyond the New Fashioned Love, and any idea of what you think Old fashioned love is, or just the concept of the two, and seek the kind you want.
The Term ...Old fashioned love, comes from the long relationship between two people that love, respect and care for each other..unconditionally. It takes a lot of years and total dedication to one other person in order to claim to have an "Old Fashioned Love.

Ya it still exists. The problem is that the younger generation with the stuff on MTV and Cosmo mag think that this is the way all relationships are. Now with the Spring Break and the who cares attitude you do get that feeling that everyone else does it.
By the time you find someone that you really like you start to feel bad about not being able to do the first time things with someone you really liked. And all the one night stands or your spring flings you had through college or HS. You feel bad and have to block them out and not rem them.
Just go with the classy girls/guys and dont fall for the nice guy on spring break (which we all are trying to be nice to get in your pants) The drunk girl on stage dancing may look hot as hell and ya it would be great to tag and bag, but if you are looking for the one to grow with and develope on stay away from them. They have been corrupted on Cosmo mag and MTV etc.

Its still there but I think with the amount of devorce these days kids are not learning the true meaning of romance. Not to mention too many people are living in the fast lane and they "don't have time" for romance. I would say 7 out of 10 young men will say romance is the thing you do rite before you take off your clothes. And they wonder why their lady aint happy!! And 4 out of 10 young women will say romance is buying nice presents and they dont understand why they are called gold diggers or greedy. They don't understand that A simple flower can go a long way....

I was surfing around here and saw this question, and I wanted to give you some encouagement. I've been happily married for almost 18 years now. Yep, it still happens, the secret is to be choosy. Don't take the first person who will have you. Be yourself and be real, and you will eventually find someone similar. That person may not be the most beautiful (physically) but it will be someone you can be happy with.

I dont think the problem is in the love part. Its a problem with the man and woman. Now adays we give up to easily. Everything is made to easy for us. Love still exists sometimes you just have to work at it and the longer your in it the harder you have to work. It takes both giving 100%!

Can you define 'proper old fashioned love'? Love still exists. What is the difference between old fashioned and any other kind of love?

It still exists, keep looking, try a stroll along the beach, or get back to nature. Seems to me that most women now days only want to shop, and blow credit cards way out of proportion, you will never get out of dept with one of these ladies. Try to find someone that still enjoys the simple things in nature. The ocean, the woods, sailing??

I think it's a lot more rare to find that now. Divorce used to just be a mistake... something went wrong. Now if a relationship works, it's an accident. They, by mistake, actually did something right. The internet is a big part of the problem.

Strangely enough it seems to exist between younger couples.
I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 22 and he buys me little presents when he sees something I might like, he never forgets anniversaries, neither my or my family's birthdays and he treats me like a princess.
There's no way I take him for granted though. I know how lucky I am.

It still exists. My boyfriend of almost a year and a half still opens the door for me, pulls out the chair etc. We're only 17 years old. He's a real gentleman. It still exists.
