It means that you may be headed for a serious liver decease condition. Ask the doctor if you should see see a specialist in liver conditions.
My doctor told me that my liver enzimes were getting worse and I ended up having to have a transplant.
Depending on what kind of condition you have you may only need a partial liver inplanted, because livers will rejuniate themself.
Please have your blood checked about every 6 months and see if the bad numbers are getting worse.
I wish you the best, because I have been there.

Liver enzymes can be elevated for a lot of reasons. It usually means the liver is just plain working too hard. Maybe you have some type of infection, maybe you are taking too many medications, maybe any number of things because the liver does a whole lot of work for the body. There are also pills that lower cholesterol that can cause problems with the liver and the gastro intestinal system. You need to review your meds, take a list of them to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if he can give you an info sheet on all of them. Keep these sheets in a little binder for future reference.

Try web search for medical dictionary and type in liver enzymes.

High cholesterol is the fats in your blood including good fat (HDL). In plain English...watch the fat, really move and exercise and cut out the smoking and desserts...
The doctors give you time to do the above without meds but it could be a hereditary condition
You did not mention your age so the above should be done to lower your readings

It could mean a few things. It could mean that you are consuming too much alcohol, eating too much red meat or fat, or even using too much vinegrette dressing. The best thing to do is to be honest with your doctor and let him use lamens terms to let you know what is happening with your body. The more information you give your doctor, the better chance you have of him helping you.
