I could be wrong here, but it just seems to me that when forming a first impression of a guy, girls will almost 100% of the time tend to automatically assume the worst about him, or that he has negative ulterior motives, even if he really doesn't -- why is this? What would make a girl's first impression be more likely to think the best of him instead, or at least more positively?

Women draw that conclusion about us because of their own experiences, things they've heard, read, and seen. Most men give them no reason to think otherwise. Unfortunately, we the good guys, have to get around the crap left for us by the so called "bad boys". They say the good guys finish last, which may be true, but we finish with a bang!

Trust me, not all girls are like this. BUT, most of the girls that act this way are probably insecure, and assume worst in a guy, only because they probably had bad experiences with guys before, and dont possibly think there ARE some good guys out there :]

Perhaps girls are like that - but most women are not. I never think the worst about a guy until he gives me a good reason to think that way.
