I think the first of your answers is a bit right. The answer is, you are not god.

is so GD crazey.
as an amphibian myself, I belive the humans go crazey, because they dont pursue to find it.

I think it's less likely that the question itself drove them insane, and more likely that it takes a person who's a bit crazy to begin with to spend their life searching for an answer they know they'll never find.

no but many have gone insane trying to find GOD who was right there in front of them in the Holy Bible. They just chose the wrong path of enlightenment.
