I will be the first to admit I know nothing about the sport. But, would probably like it too. I just think we should all stay in our own topics...Either get real, are find something else to do. Those of us who talk Nascar are not stupid, rednecks, and hillbillies. We just know what we like. If you don't like it you have obvisly never been to the track to hear the roar of the cars as they come around. Or the excitment of being in the crowd as they cheer their drivers on. Better yet have never driven around the track in a race car to feel the excitment....To each his own.......Thats why the world is made up of different people. And for those of you who have something negitive to say. BITE ME.....

how can someone an F1 fan sit and say that all nascar cars look alike except for the paint jobs?you all are so far off on that.
F1 cars ALL look the same, especially team mates cars.the only difference is the #.
but anyway........i am not here to dog nascar or F1.i am an extreme nascar fan and when i get up early enough on sunday mornings i will watch the F1 race on speed channel.i will tell u this i do like the standing starts.
people just need to sit back relax and enjoy other types of racing.i watch racing anytime it is on tv,no matter what the series.
just like F1,nascar has its flaws, hell all racing does for that matter.
well i sat here and rambled on about nothing in particular,so i guess i will be gone now...........
CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

I am an F1 fan, and of motorsports in general... though NASCAR does not especially excite me. I don't have anything against NASCAR... as you said, to each their own.

Though I guess I do have to say something negitive here. I wound up clicking here because I couldn't figure out what in the world this question was! And I suppose this is one reason why certain stereotypes of "stupid, rednecks, and hillbilles" persist; the word you are looking for is ERROR. Meaning a mistake... not ERA, meaning a period of time definied by distinctive characteristics. And even though you say to each their own, you then have to go on that if someone doesn't enjoy NASCAR that they obviously haven't experienced it? I agree that a mass of cars running together around a track create quite a reverberating roar that is something. I know that roar, I've experienced the excitement of other onlookers, and I've driven many race cars and driven on many race tracks... yet I still don't find NASCAR to have the mix of elements that I find most enjoyable in autoracing. Just as many NASCAR fans may not find the elements that make Formula 1 what it is to their tastes (or ALMS or WRC and so on).

Well it goes like this the cars all look the same except for paint jobs they drive around a circle endlessy just turning left... That's why many people including me don't like Nascar I'd rather watch WRC (World Rally Championship), or Formula 1, or Lemans, or Formula D, or even D1 at least there the cars look different, perform better, and turn both directions oh yeah I forgot 1 other race the Baja 1000...

I mean you guys are nice intelligent people, I don't mean to disrespect you but for shits sake the cars aren't even Ford Chevy or Dodges anymore, they all run the same damn engine and are fiberglass copies of each other except for decals and paintjobs...

I just want to make my opinion on the subject heard

F1 fans think there sport is better. If it is, why do they need to cheat by using traction control? Oh, maybe they cant drive a real racecar without all the help.
