I've been hanging w/ a middle school friend, who is a lebian. I started hanging w/ her as a friend once we ran into each other a couple months back. After hanging out so long, she fell in love w/ me. I was flairted because she has a certain taste and she's gothic. I continued to hang around w/ her doing things and deep inside I knew I was gaining feels for her. I noticed I was starting to fall in love with her. I'm straight. I used to diss homos when I was younger back in high school once I lost track of her. WE talked it out and now have been a couple for 2 days. I feel kinda odd if there is someone else w/ us and we kiss. I feel I am falling in love w/ her deep inside. She already is in love. She's practcally a man in a woman's body. If it last, it'll be odd as hell telling my folks. I want it to be a secret for now. Taking it slow. Is it strange I'm in love w/ someone of the same gender since I've been straight forever in the past?

Yes, it's strange AND unnatural. There's a reason why you're ashamed to tell your parents. You inherently know that it's wrong. Sure, you'll get all kinds of responses saying how "wonderful love is in ANY form" and "do whatever feels good", but we both know that's hogwash. Use your brain and listen to the little voice (i.e. your conscience) that's telling you that you're simply being a freak for rebellion's sake. Actually, I'm not even sure if you're rebelling, or if you're doing it because it's "cool" these days.

Like I was told by a good friend. You can not help what the heart feels. I thinks and feels on its own. The thing is, is that you must be straight forward with your parents. You must do the right thing. If it lasts then it lasts. If it dont then it dont. No it is never strange to be in love, NEVER. Even if it is of the same sex. I use to have a gay friend but he felt like he could not be friends anymore which i feel I was most important than his lover. He was a nice guy. Anyways, I also feel that if you feel odd about someone else with you when you and her make out or just kiss like you said then you are probably ashamed to be with her. I will kiss a woman in public and not think anything of it. I think you feel good about being lesbian. I think you enjoy it and if you do then that is your business and nobody else should be involved in your love life and not have a say so in it unless you cared about what God thought but that is between you and him. That is the honest truth. Not preaching. Anyways tell them straight up that you enjoy making love to a woman. Follow your heart like others have said and as I say.

You are what you are, don't worry about terms.

Love is hard to come by. Don't lose out simply because you are worried about what your friends or family will think.

Good luck

Just in case you are curious, sexuality is a continuum, not a Straight or Gay only thing. Most people fall close to one end or the other. Few actually at the exact end. You may be a little closer to the middle than you thought. Just don't let that be a problem for you. Love is a rare commodity, don't waste it.

I lost a bf and gf I was/am dearly in love with, and who were in love with me, simply because they couldn't handle other people's opinions about a three-person relationship. They let worrys about social views destroy a beautiful and promising relationship.

No offence. But let's hope ure confuse. These feelings might develop in some people cause they always have excitement in trying out new things. If ure worried abt it or ur folks, better get out of it now before ure blinded. Im not discriminating, im just being pratical

it's not weird at all. some people don't know their gay until later on in their life. my best friend came out during her senior year in high school. some know early on, but others don't. it may be confusing, but give it time
