I used to be curious about foreigners but when my language skills became good enough to understand a lot, I realized it was none of my business and I try not to listen.
The only exception is with helpless looking tourists - I live in Moscow, Russia and there are a lot of them here. I've had a chance to help some of them.

The only people I could understand would be German speakers. However I'm used to passing people on the street speaking languages I don't understand and it doesn't bother me, although I sometimes catch myself thinking, 'I wonder what they're saying?'

I wish I spoke every language. I've heard some funny stories about people overhearing things the people they were listening to didn't think were being heard.

Happy is the not word. You should have asked do you feel secure or informed or not offended.

In other words, you're so insecure you think anyone not speaking English is talking about you behind your back. Well, we are, so nyah, nyah-nyah-NYAH, nyah! Come on, dude, get a life!

What do you mean? I don't usually listen in on other's people's conversations no matter what language they are speaking.
