My Boyfriend and I have been together for almost 8 months, and living together for a little over 3 months. We have talked about getting married and we are getting engaged in the near future. Knowing that we are getting engaged I dont understand the wait, and I dont understand the surprise??? I know it's going to happen and sometime soon. Why can't it just happen? The element of surprise is gone out of the window when he told me we were getting engaged.

Plus I asked him when he knew "i was the one" and it took a long time to get it out of him because he said I wouldn't believe him. Well he told me the other day and he said it was about 2 months into our relationship, and it happened the same time he knew he loved me and the same time that he knew I was "his mom" what does that mean?

omg...i know exactly what you mean about the whole surprise thing. me and my bf have been going out for almost 3 years and we always talk about "when we get married"...he was planning on getting me a ring for our 2 year anni but i talked about how much i wanted one so he didn't and wants to wait til i'm 'surprised'...which just makes me so angry. but w/e i can wait i guess..i'm only 18 1/2.

but to answer your question i think they want to see the girl's face when she's not expecting it. like when you're cooking dinner or something haha

i'm not really sure waht "his mom" means but i guess sometimes people say your 'his mami' and he's 'your papi'..idk. it's stupid.

hope i helped, and good luck when you DO get engaged!!

When he knew you were "His Mom" ? What? That sounds a little weird. I would definitely ask what the heck that means. You're not his mom.
