A friend of mine recently showed me a way to clean up mugs stained with coffee and tea, i.e. by filling them up with diluted bleach. Unfortunately, with those staiins cleaned away, they revealed some ugly silvery marks caused by teaspoon stirring. Anyone know of a way of getting rid of them?

Rub off with a paste made from a fine cleanser or a little silver polish. Either one will also work on coffee and tea stains.
