Here are the 2 best tips I've ever used and suggested:
1: remember, people don't know you, pretty much don't care about you, and will likely never see you again (& won't remember you if they do).
2: pretend you're somebody else, as in, "what would Anna Nicole have done?"
You've gotta' have FUN! You have to get 'outside yourself', outside your inhibiting drives, to get in touch with the fun factor. It's a vacation, you're going to leave it behind with nothin' but a memory to take home. LIVE LARGE!

I suggest that buy two different swim suits, one you feel comfortable in and one that is more revealing. Wear the first one the first day you go to the beach, and then look around you at the bigger girls, and see how many are comfortable with their body's, that if you were that size you wouldn't be caught dead at the beach. Everyone is a different size, shape, color, etc. That's what makes this world different! No one is perfect and everyone has issues with their body. I'm 5'7" and 125 pounds, I have issues, I think there is always something that could be better or thinner or more toned, and I work at it, as you do :-) It sounds like you are doing great! Remember the more confidence you have in yourself the more people will see that. Enjoy yourself at the beach, do what you love and don't let your body ruin something that could be a lifetime memory.

Pick a swimsuit you feel comfortable in. If you don't like bikinis, don't wear one! I have noticed there are some swimsuits out there that are good at covering you up, but still look good. I am skinny, and I wear a one piece because I hate my belly.
Don't worry about what other people think. You will probably never see any of them again. Their opinion doesn't matter. They are just people. I can probably garuntee you that there are people out there on the beach who look a lot worse than you think you do. :-P I'm sure there will be the 300lb fat woman in a bikini to make you feel better about yourself! If they can do it, you certainly can do it!
I have self confidence problems too....but I have realized that there are people out there who will really like you for you, no matter what. If someone doesn't like you for you, they are not worthy of your friendship. Don't even let them bother you.
Just let yourself go and don't worry about what others think!! Go and have a good time! Be glad you are even able to go on a vacation! I would love to get away from it all right now!

First of all, it's great that you've lost weight! But seriously, not that many people on the beach are going to be looking at you for your weight. It's your personality that matters! If you don't feel confident wearing a bikini, then wear a one-piece, there's some really cute ones out there! Don't let weight hold you back, there are LOADS bigger people that go to the beach with no shame whatsoever!

I have always wore a ong shirt and shorts when i go swimming. You are not the only one who is self concious. Congrats on your weight loss! Just relax, people who are judging you just on your looks are not worth your time and attention anyways. If you go at busy time it might be better. You can then tell yourself everyone else is busy doing their own thing the are not all concentrating on you. It will also give you somthing else to focus on. Seeing everyone else having fun might just make you want to join in. if you need a boost on confidence look for the least attractive person and see what they are wearing. Take confidence from their confidence in themself. Have fun, its not everyday you get to go on a beach vacation. Im sure you deserve it. You can still wear shorts with your top if you need to. A pair of cut off jeans looks good. Good luck and go and have fun!

Just go for it! You were not put on this earth to let other people dictate how much you're allowed to enjoy it! I'm sure you look great, but if it would make you more comfortable, get a really gorgeous one-piece.......... lots of them are just as revealing as a bikini but with a smidge more security. Finally, as a person with a speech impediment, you should know that I don't waste time worrying about what people think. If you are comfortable with yourself, people will admire the way you look, and will even be envious. Believe me, people are not going to be analyzing the way you look, everyone has hang-ups, they're definately going to be more concerned about the way THEY look. So go out there and have fun, you should be proud of who you are and your recent weight loss...................hold your head high and have a great time!!!!

Don't focus on what you're not; I used to be self-conscious when I was a teenager because I weighed 118 lbs. instead of 112 lbs. I look back on that and think of how ridiculous it seems now. That's an extreme case, but it sounds like you're already working to improve your figure; just don't focus on a moment that may never come--live in the present, dress to complement your current shape and size and then forget about it. Look outward, not inward, because the vacation is out there and begs to be enjoyed! Cheers!

Find a bathing suit that is flattering to your figure. You can wear a mesh coverup that hides a lot but still lets you enjoy the sun and water.
Look around the beach...is every girl there a hot model type? I doubt it...there's probably just a bunch of average looking people enjoying the beach. They're not judging your body any more than they want their own body judged. Just relax...no one is obsessing over your body but you.

Ok, trust me on this one: If you wear a bathing suit that "hides" too much, it'll just look like you have something to hide. Wear a one-peice at the most. But don't worry! Ofcourse you'll feel weird as you go out to the beach, but once you take off your cover up and start playing in the sand and the water, you'll forget all about it. Nobody is watching you or criticizing you!! Just have fun.

Next year, Go to Tonga or Samoa and you'll be just fine. Maybe even a Goddess? As it should be!
Stop feeding the negative and be proud of yourself! Men will basically do what they are told... The only reason they want super skinny women, is because somewhere along the line we TOLD them that's what they wanted.
Tell them what they want now, is a hot voluptuous soft and beautiful creature with curves and something to hang onto in bed.
Ever bag a boney, or watch two boney's going at it? It's not pretty... all the rattling around from under the sheets is rather scary! I prefer a soft smooth slide to a rickety taught skeletal spinner screw... and believe it or not... most men do to.
**Well actually, most men really want to either screw their mothers or her exact opposite and some, really want to do their dad... But that's another story, for another day.
