Yes I think you need to be blunt and come up front about it. You need to tell her that it is unfair. Do your best not to fight her. Even though a cat fight would interesting. It would be funny if someone played a sound effect of two cats fighting like on shows. But seriously tell her how you feel about it. It sounds like you and him have been best friends for life which is rare.

That is unfair....
But have you ever told him how you felt for him???
if you haven't it would appear that you didn't give the initiative to tell him you like him and your friend did... hence the results...
and if you did and he didn't react to it he's not simply interested in you and you have to accept that...
The world is unfair and we know it but if we do nothing and say the world is unfair then we are more fools than we really are...

you should have jumped at the chance to be with him, now he is with her.If you love someone go get him, as long as he doesn't have a girlfriend.Maybe he will dump her then tell him how ya feel.
