Most bars serve finger foods that are deep fried. You will find things like Buffalo chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, french fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, potato skins, etc. Whatever it is that they serve, it's something simple to eliminate prep time and it cooks up quickly. Often times these finger foods are served in a basket with a disposable lining (wax paper or foil) to make clean up easy. If you are serving food in an establishment that is solely considered a bar (not a bar/restaurant) there usually isn't a full time cook. The bartender is usually the one responsible for cooking and serving the food while at the same time tending to the bar. That is why simple is best, to make it easy on them.

it all depends on what you want the food for.
If you want it to make people drink more, and not for sustenance and sobering up, try nuts, chips and salty items.
If it's for people who want to put something in the stomach to help with the amt of alcohol, try having a big pot of chili, with tortilla chips and cheese. Chili also lends itself to chili dogs, make sure to check with your local health department if you are doing anything other than bagged snacks.

you can offer run of the mill: nacho platters, wings, mini burgers, etc. Or you can add or substitute with egg roll varieties, mini wraps, fish bites, shrimp, mussels, etc.

It all depends on the crowd you are drawing or wish to draw.
