I have nothing against LDS I live with them and they have good family values but their want of censorship sounds quite like what they had in Afghanistan called "The Taliban".

Well yes I have had questions reported, why else would I be asking this question?
Name calling is a trait that is tought to religious zealots at a young age to hurl at those who don't follow their religion. Calling others Bigots, Haters, etc. etc.

You know there are many who say the reason for the less intelligent (special) or severely disabled children of Mormons is due to Mormon inbreeding and those people are called haters

My LDS questions do seem to get reported at a higher rate than questions about other religions.

No police. I have actually reported questions that slandered the Jewish people and Muslims as well. I have only reported 1, maybe 2 questions that seemed slanted at criticizing Mormons in an entire year, and they had to be very blatant and obvious. Another answerer has pointed out that you need to differentiate between the official Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the break-away groups. Really. It's like the difference between Catholics and Protestants, for example, with a totally different leadership, totally different focus. Sounds like you need a gummy bear.

I don't have a problem with people who are simply asking questions because they do not understand. I do not have a problem with people thinking something because they have been misinformed or given wrong information. But I do have a problem with people bashing us with hate speech because they do not share the same beleifs. Most of the Mormons on Yahoo Answers simply want to correct this misinformation, not be the answer police. Yes, some of the answers written for spite are offensive and inappropriate, and need to be reported. This does not require generalization. I have not "censored" Y.A., and everyone has their own free agency. But do not expect to ridicule without anyone to reacting negatively to anything untrue or slanderous.

Mormon inbreeding??? You have GOT to be kidding me......

None that I know of. Although a few months ago, I thought I was being reported because I'm Mormon. Turns out there was someone here that was reporting practically everyone who didn't agree with her. We are a quite conservative bunch, but I don't think we are pro-censorship. Afterall, in our history we have been censored quite a bit.
Sorry you're getting reported a lot.

What censorship are you referring to? Has one of your questions been reported?

You can't just come in here and accuse LDS folks of something without any way to back it up. Well, I guess you can, but that's called "bigotry".

EDIT: No, I was looking for support for your claim that LDS people "want censorship" on a level with "The Taliban".

I went to a LDS Church two days ago and attended their service. It was a lot of fun.

You are reported...

(just kidding, not reporting you:))

There are a lot of Anti-Mormons out there. Most of the Mormons I have spoken with seem to be offended when their religion is ridiculed and called a cult. There probably are a lot of reports of misuse of Internet site agreements. They are otherwise fairly open minded.

I assume anyone has the "right" to report things, whether they are Mormon or not. That is why Yahoo allows the practice. If you have complaint or concern about things being reported, I would suggest talking to Yahoo, and not complain about a person of a given religion.

Go to the source.

Most of LDS are strong and faithful, but I do not believe they waste time reporting people just to shut people up.
I'm sure if people follow the yahoo rules, there is no way they can be "shut up"

Personally, why stop people who try to make a fool of themselves. I am sure there is a lot of laugh reading those ridiculus things those anti mormon people put out.

I hope not. I'm LDS (and love it), and frankly I don't mind people bashing us---just shows that we're making an impact. Besides, usually we'd perfer to talk sense into people over shutting them up.
I have reported one person on Y! answers, but that had nothing to do with LDS bashing---it was because he answered one of my questions using very inappropriate adult material which frankly was very sickening to read. I've had people bash my church on questions I've given (which had nothing to do with being LDS or not), bash white people, bash religious people, etc. It may bother me sometimes, especially when I know what is said isn't true, but I figure people need to find out for themselves, and for that to happen I don't mind them facing those who are opposed to what I believe in, either.

I'm LDS, and the only thing I've reported is pornographic avatars and links because kids are allowed on this site.

If you think that's Taliban like censorship, then I guess that's you're opinion, and you're certainly entitled to have that.
