i would want a gut that would defend my honor. I would be pissed if i let someone walk all over me. That more or less just gives them the invite to do it over and over. so yea i would for sure want a guy to defend my honor!!!!

Lol I gotta a good example to this. I started seeing this guy. About a week in were driving my son around so he'll fall asleep and this suv started following me. I went down side roads, wooded roads anywhere just tobe sure he WAS following me. So i pulled into a little store. The guy I was with was running at the mouth talking sh!t like he'd do something. These two hugh guys got out there car with bats. The guy I was with didnt say a Word, was totally hush mouth. I had to get out b/c I was p.od b/c my son was in the car. Ended up us being the wrong person they were trying to find. I never spoke to him again. I will only date a man who is willing to stand up for not only me but also my son. After I had my son I learned not to let anyone walk over you or they all will. Your right keep being you and always stand up for whats right

It would depend how he went about defending me. If he makes a scene by talking loudly - or yelling- or knocking somebody out - I'd rather just have a rude waiter.
Now IF my guy - in a quiet, non-confrontational way - said to a rude waiter - something like - "There's no place for you to be rude here - we're in the presence of a lady - and I'd like for you to treat her as such." I would love that!
So - if the defense is done in an honorable way - YES. If the guy is trying to defend me - but becomes a bit of a jerk himself - or makes a scene - in his attempt - then NO.

To a point I would like a guy who takes a stand but that person also needs to know when to back down.

Yes, I would want a man to defend me. How he does it depends on the situation. Sometimes, walking away is the best solution; sometimes speaking up (waiter, cab driver, etc.) is the best solution.

Initially I like to be able to stand up for myself first, but I want to know I have backup. So yes I want a man who would stand up for me and is willing to do so when I need it.

I have a man who will defend me against anything. It's a really nice feeling. I feel sorry for anyone who would try it, tho. He punched his sister in the face for calling me a f**** B****. See?
