How do you treat a runny nose?

I've tryed taking sudifed and it didn't help.

Sudafed is a decongestant not an anti-histamine. YOu need something like Benadryl aka diphenhydramine or claritin aka loratidine to dry up a running nose. The next time you are not sure what product to buy for your symptom stop and ask the pharmacist.
