They are just as susceptible to sin as anyone else. Their vows do not make them less of a human than we are.
A priest is nothing more than a man in uniform. A nun is no more a wife to god than any other woman. It's all ceremonial.
However a sin can be committed if a vow has been broken. Only the individual and God know.

No, it is not allowed for priests, nun, or anyone. Masturbation is the misuse of God's gift of sex for procreation and the strengthening of the bond of matrimony.
Masturbation takes a gift that is both life giving and a way to show love to ones spouse and uses sex for ones selfish pleasure. Masturbation is a selfish act, and therefore a sin.
People are morally superior to animals and therefore can deny themselves pleasure.

No way do they do that.why would they wish to do that for?.their people of God , if God had wanted us to masturbate he would have given us hands to reach down there and sexual feelings so we would want to make ourselves feel good.
Oh.Wait. he did do that didn't he,well I guess they might do that sometimes to themselves.Of course that's between them and themselves.,and is really not any of our business is it?
My family growing up never talked about sex.Its seems that sex is OK to talk about now, that's good.
Now when you begin talking about shoving things up inside a person . don't bring that up. OK?ha ha ha

A Sin is ANYTHING that gets between you and the guidance of the holy Spirit of god,& Its influence in your life.
It could be eating to much and being absorbed in that,or it could be occupying your self with sex,
or vanity,or undo attachment to things,hate,lust. greed,theirs many things that can come between you and god,and his spirit.keep yourself on the narrow path,which can be done, being in the world but not of it,keeping your attention on the influence of God thru his spirit,I wish you the very best on your Spiritual Journey.

I don't think is a matter of allowing them. It is a matter of what they feel and want. Honestly if that reduce the risk of some of them abusing kids, not only should be allow, should be encourage.
