There is no SUCH thing as free best.

Yes, I agree many free stuffs are helpful, but not to the max... Now, as a computer specialist, there is no good Free Anti virus software protection on the Net... I can easily hack AVG without it detects my harmful attempt to ruin your computer. Not just me alone know how to hack Free AVG Anti virus protection, thousands of people do... To make this much clearer, I can fool all free Anti Virus protection, but I can't seem to break into the subscribed ones...

So, are you protected with the best free Anti virus protection? Answer is ( No.)
I highly recommend McAfee 2007

You can get Norton cheaper than £60.....mine was £27 after the other half did a search for me, it's a legit copy, anti-virus, personal firewall,anti spyware and anti phishing. And all in its original package, Norton Internet Security 2007. And it's brill, although for a free one, AVG is goog, the rest of the family use it............can't afford 4 copies of Norton!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, it's cheaper to buy a new copy each year, than to upgrade to the latest version, don't know why, perhaps someone else can answer that one?

The best anti-virus software that I have found is AVAST. Its FREE and easy to download. Go to www.avast.com

I use AVG and have been virus-free for 2 years. Visit http://free.grisoft.com to pick up a copy. I think they do a free anti adware package too

i have 3 free ones on mine avg / zone alarm/ but the best is in my oppinion is super anti spy ware. which is good i aLSO HAVE A IP TRACKING DEVICE which works with my zone alarm. which give u info names address fone numbers of all hackers trying 2 get into ur computer and blocks them from getting in i have phoned a few up and gave them an earful in my own pleasant way lol there reaction is always shock horror so it might b worth while trying 2 get 1 of these hope this helps u.

Avast is very poor in finding out silent viruses.. it once happened few days back which made me format my entire harddisk bcos of a virus internat.exe, which was ofcourse not detected by avast... It sucks.. Only after i installed AVG 7.5 i was able to control the virus.. Go for it..

Try AVG.com and download the free version 7.5...I believe it is anti-virus only.
