Religion is about rituals, ceremonies and law keeping as a means for salvation (col 2:13-23)... relationship is what GOD desires with the people on this earth (2cor 5:17-21). This relationship starts when we except CHRIST as our savior
(Jn 3:16). Concerning denominations, they are unscriptual, the result of satanic strategy ... it is designed to bring division to the body of CHRIST. The LORD himself said that a house divided cannot stand. Do you want to know the LORDS heart concerning unity? Read Jn 17....

You are very correct.
Just look at the first answer - leave the Catholics out.
Catholics actually go through a second baptism called confirmation. It is when we become committed to the faith and is baptised with oil and the Holy Spirit. Bet you didn't know that.
I am tired of seeing Catholics picked on continually. Over and over again. Discriminated against - and most of what you read against Catholics is due to a complete lack of understanding of their religion. If you are going to bash a faith system - at least learn what it's about for yourself, don't just parrot your pastor.
Catholics believe faith in Jesus is what saves you - and in this faith you do good works. It is a natural extension. There is no system that saves Catholics. This is just anti-Catholic proproganda
So yes, this inter-denomination picking needs to stop. All it does is make Christianity looks weaker and more superficial.

Religion promotes the doctrine set up by its council. The Lord has a doctrine through the Holy Scriptures. If the doctrines dont line up with the holy Scriptures then the religion is of man.
Man made religion and born again believers do not mix for The Word of GOD separates us.

I think you all need to look at it in a different light. We yearn (as Christians) for the Church (church Triumphant, not church Militant) to be homogeneous in a world that is not! If there were only Lutherans or just Roman Catholics, wouldn't that be a bad thing? Look, I am all for pure Biblical Doctrine, but I can embrace a Baptists as a Christian Brother when he and I maintain sound biblical doctrine.

For me the difference is religion is a form of godliness but isn't always real. A relation is personal and everyday. It involves not only talking (praying) everyday but listening and getting to know the one you have the relationship with. And we can have different flavors (denominations) and still serve the same Lord.

First of all Baptists, Lutherans, Catholics, so on are not different religons. They are different denominations or sects. And yes, if we all got along and quit arguing amongst ourselves the gospel would be sprend much faster. Lots of people have religon and claim Christ as their Savior, but he is not their Lord. They still rule their own destiny. Relationship comes, only when you surrender your life to Christ and give him control.

Luke 10:29 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thy self.
There is only one relationship we need to have with every one, love each other as children of God. It doesn't matter what religion we are, we are to love and care for all. Treating others like we should treat ourselves. That doesn't mean we have to accept there beliefs or there incorrect choices.
Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
There is only one true church on earth. God's church. The same as in the bible. One Lord, one faith, one baptism. That doesn't mean that the people who don't know about it are 'damned to hell' etc. Only the people who reject it or refuse to live it.

Exclusivity versus ecumenism. In Canada there is a policy of working towards togetherness as Christians. However, there are always stumbling blocks that are embedded in each religion that sometimes keep us apart.

That problem is the differences DO get in the way.
For example, infant baptism vs adult baptism
Once saved always saved
Falling from grace
The meaning of the Eurcharist
I suppose your idea works, but you have to stay away from the land mines.
