are there any people in mumbai who are fluent in Italian?

I know one person who normally resides in New Delhi. Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. The other person who had been living in Delhi a decade ago and is presently cooling his heel off in Argentine is Quettorichi.

Hi, there is lots of Italian people based in mumbai. In almost all the 5 Stars hotel there is an Italian Chef. Plus there is a quite big comunity of italian who reside there for business purpose. i am of Italian nationality too but i leave in kolkata, and have lots of friend in mumbai.

I don't know. Maybe you should go to the Italian consulate, and ask if there are any Italians living in Mumbai. I'm sure they are...Italians are everywhere=)
