Not one answer above me has answered your question, they have all avoided it
That's because they worship the Teflon God.
When things go good like someone being saved from a earthquake, he helped them. But yet those who died in the very same event are not his fault
It's this simple - If he helped one person be saved from that earthquake, he could have helped all the others, so he is responsible for not helping them
If he helped one person get a job, then he is responsible;e for every person looking for a job because he could help them too, apparently he chooses not to

Thant is what they are taught to do.
for instance, if you were around religious friends, or churchmates when somthing bad happened you wouldnt say "gd" and when somthing good happened you would say "praise the lord"
All the same if you surround yourself with people who hate religion you would blame god for the bad, and take the credit yourselves for the good stuff.
If you suround yourself with people who are not religious, blame, and this whole psychological struggle would not even be announced, and if it were it would be laughed at like a neurosis.
Everyone is capable of experiencing "God" or a magical greater power, and everyone is capable of shutting it out and residing in the logic world too. That is up to us, but all of the religion, and all of the anti-religion, and all of the science is just humans and social interaction, and it has nothing to do with "God". People have an inate nature to want to impress their ways upon another person. Whether this means in war, parenthood, relationships, yahoo answers, religion ect..... The God is within us, and you cant teach people, or be taught about it. You just listen to it like Noah did, or you just shut it out like almost everyone does! If you lingre in the middle of the human struggle you will always have pain.
Natural Disaster + War = Weather + Human nature

The opposite is true of non-religious people. They blame God for everything bad that happens in their lives and never give him a chance for responsibility of the good.
I think the idea for most religious people is that god is good and therefor can't be responsible when our own imperfections cause the bad things in our lives....which, personally I believe that statement true. It is not God who is waging war, or attacking the innocent...those are men. Kind of like "guns don't kill people, people kill people". God is not exactly involved there.
However, I'm not saying I believe it's "God's will" (as my mother in law would say) that she found $20 bucks on the ground.
It's just a difference in perspective.

My dear family was killed in a car wreck.home lost to a disaster,I have suffered with horrible pain since the accident. My dear mother told me to praise God for everything.it took years to do ,but I do praise God for everything. My family's souls or forever.suffering is good,we learn nothing much without suffering.I am very close to the Spirit of God,It all has given me an understanding of the spirit that would be hard to explain to you in a few words.it would take a book length explanation to explain to you about the Spirit of God and the devils influence.Theirs two forces at work here,The Prince of the power of the airs influence, and Gods influence. Praise God.

God is not just "watching" us, He is working in us if we are born again Christians. It says to "count our many blessings" in the Bible. It also says that He will direct our paths if we trust only in Him (proverbs 3:5-6). It also tells us that through trials and tribulations we are to count it all joy, because trials produce patience and longsuffering. We aren't to "blame" God when things go wrong. It isn't God's "fault". We live in a sinful world, and things will happen to us. But if we trust fully in God and have joy through the trials, God will get us out of it and give us a blessing greater than our trial.

Personally, I thank God for the good and bad. Good things for comfort, and bad things for strengthen us.
I thought the problem was that most people do not thank God, and blame God for everthing.

Satan brought evil into this world , and man brought it on himself by listening to him severe weather ,diseases , getting old , death. War is between men . If you believe in God and study the bible you would have learned this.Satan and God are at war for your soul , only if you choose God as your savior will he help you through these times down here.

All things come from G-d, including our free will and abilities that help us get a job or commit a heinous act such as terrorism. Nature as well was put into place by him.
