Pardon me...but how does having a family explode the myth that he rose again from the dead.
I am not agreeing with the Jesus' bones finding thing or disagreeing, but it seems to me that if Jesus rose from the dead - he could then have a family.

If Jesus was married and have a kid and just died and was buried, that would make Him just another man, an intelligent man that talked about God. Then the Jews were right about Him being a blasphemer.
And IF this was the truth, then my 36 yrs of having faith in Jesus being the Son of God has done no harm to myself and others. It has only made me go to Masses on Sundays and holy days, pray daily, and read the Bible. I don't see any of these things as wasting my time. One hour of Mass-big time, with no Son of God I would be able to sleep in or eat brunch. Instead of praying to Jesus, I would be praying to, which actually won't change anything. And instead of reading the BIble, I would be reading history books, doing crossword puzzles, or go online. Believing that Jesus is the beloved Son of God and praying to Him and worshiping Him all these years and the rest of my life doesn't hurt me. If I am right and Jesus is for real and He never was married and had a child and died and rose and ascended, my faith can only help me.

There probably was some dude that lived yonks ago called Jesus, however the thought that he was born to a virgin, healed the sick, fed the hungry & then died and rose again is an insult to peoples intelligence.
Although I s’pose if people didn’t believe in all this tripe, then we wouldn’t get Easter eggs or Christmas presents would we? So I don’t really have a problem with people believing all this tosh if it mean i get lots of eggs & presents.

Yes I am more inclined to believe that he had a wife and a child.
Just because I don't believe in God and that Jesus rose from the dead does not mean I don't believe that Jesus was a MAN, but that's what he was....a man. He may have done great things when he was alive, but many man do.

I've no problem with Jesus existing, I just don't think he was the son of God or that he rose from the grave.

What does rising from the dead and having kids have to do with one another...can't he do both? How does having a wife and kids make him imperfect? Wouldn't NOT having a wife and kids in 30CE make him weird and imperfect? Isn't the family the "completion", the perfect circle? Bible rhetoric confuses the issue.

I am one of many who know Jesus. If that were not the case and
as You say He was married w/ children, all the more reason to
believe the wife would have been Mary Magdalene who seen Him raised from the dead.We have a win win situation.

I don't care if Jesus existed. He's dead now, if he did exist. It really doesn't matter to me if he was married or not. I don't put any weight in the stories of him rising from the dead. Those stories were a dime a dozen in those days.
