first of all, the old testament is the foundation of my belief.(christianity)
God called Abraham away from where he lived to set him apart from the world .He told him he intended to make a new people with Abraham as the patriarch.Abraham and Sarah in their disbelief took matters in their own hands and hence the birth of Ishmael. He was forced to leave after the birth of Issacc the promised seed between Abraham and Sarah. through issac,s linage we come down to moses and the isrealites who wanderd in the dessert recieving the laws of the old covenant. this linage continues through as god intended to the time of Jesus,s birth. as GOD foretold.
the jews (most) missed the boat called Jesus,s and the New Covenant so they stayed where they were.THE OLD TESTAMENT
The Ishmaelites were,nt invited to the first boat ,and they did,nt know about the second one,so they built their own.THE KORAN
I think having been treated like a redheaded step child for so many centuries gave them reason to be resentfull and suspect anything coming from the jews. Even Jesus.
I really am not poking fun, this is just my veiw on things.
i truly believe we are worshippers of the same Deity(JEWISH,ISLAM,CHRISTIANS) but Jesus is the true messiah ,son of GOD ,fullfillment of the old testament, maker of the NEW COVENANT.THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIGHT.
the only way to the FATHER is through the SON,no one can come to the FATHER except through the SON.IT,s pretty clear to me.
MUSLIMS will say the bible has been changed by man to fit his agenda when in reality there are scrolls thousands of years old that match word for word what it says in my bible.
and consider this. weigh this ,what is more miraculous, many books written in different places,at different times by different witnesses telling the same story.or the story written by one man who may or may not have an alterior motive. God says to back truth with witnesses. the bible does this.esp. new testament.
the Koran does not.
there is still time to get on the Jesus boat.
explore ,read (study to show yourself approved) All the doctrines carefully.ask for discerment.

Strict interpretation of doctrine. These things were written by people and taken to an extreme in any religion is bad. and dangerous. In Christianity for instance Christ taught about peace and love and caring for people. Too many other things were thrown in there such as organized religoin that have bastardized the true meaning. I am sure the same can be said of the other two which I am not that familure. It can be a dangerous thing and wrong.

I think you are simplifying a bit. There is no meaning without interpretation, so the doctrines themselves are inseparable from the meaning ascribed to them. I think the point you are trying to make is that a "liberal" (meaning not literal) interpretation will find that all three religious doctrines are about peace and coexistence; but that is just one interpretation and cannot empirically be considered the "true" meaning of the text. If I have a problem with any of these three religions it is in the strict, rigid and literal interpretations that refuse to take into account the context of our societal realities. But that's just my opinion...

All these 3 religions are divine religions, came from the same GOD. When the people corrupted the original revelation from GOD, he sent another fresh version untill the himanity entered into the Era of Press, when it become possible to keep an authenticated record of original text. Islam is the latest and final revelation by God (still intact without any change even of a single alphabet).
God has gifted us brain and it is everybody's responsibility to find the truth after a careful learning with open heart & mind.
Each & every creature on the planet says something to us,
The mind boggling technology involved in the production of humans, animals, plants, fruits, flowers......... establishes beyond a slightest doubt that there is a suprem power who created these master pieces of technology and we must find the truth by using our wisdom.

Judaism - well... I don't really know a lot about thier doctrine.
Christianity - the fact that it says you must love god over the people in your life who are really real and are there for you like your wife/husband, parents, siblings, friends. It's like you must put them behind this force you haven't seen, heard or experienced as real.
Islam - Jihad, stonings, the inequality between men and women, the 72 virgin deal, the slaughtering of animals to make them edible, etc, etc. Basically everything.

What bothers me about all religions is not what is written in their holy texts but how people interpret them.
Unfortunately, bigotry, narrow-mindedness and intolerance are universal human failings, and religious communities are not exempt.
I have my own beliefs (which I will not elaborate on here) and do not follow any orthodox religion. My attitude to others' beliefs is: Live and Let Live.

Yours is a disingenous and dishonest attempt to exclude the whole point and problem of religion: it is what the religious DO with it that IS the whole problem.
If the religious were to keep their filth - oops, faith - in their homes, in churches and where it is welcomed, there would never be any conflicts. All conflict and genocide perpetrated throughout history has occurred when the religious sought to put religion into schools, into government and into law.
There are two rules I hold to when dealing with religious types:
1) If people want to have their religion, they can go to church. They have a right to, and I won't stop them.
2) If people want ME to have their religion, they can go to hell. They have NO right to, and I WILL stop them.
Anybody who has a problem with those two rules is a hypocrite who wants to proselytize and rape me with his religion. But then, that IS the intent of judaism, christ-inanity and is-lame.

I find the Christian doctrine that the only way to G-d is through Jesus to be particularly arrogant.

the doctrines of these religions lie and deceive the "beleivers"!
What fools !
because these doctrines ARE NOT proven!
Here's the Solution:
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ
Create a private, personal, direct, divine relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truely Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

The doctrines themselves are sterile mythologies, so I'm not understanding the question. It is what people do with them that is the true evil.
