A fever is caused by an anomolie that has been transmitted into your system by either touching, eating, or inhaling.
Your body tries to protect itself by raising its temperature to kill off any germs, bacteria or infectional diseases that your body came in contact with.
That is way you should always wash your hands after touching raw meat or chicken; shaking hands with someone who looks run down or tired.

the only exact answer i know with fever is your body tends to react to different viruses (that causes infection) that you absorb daily so in response to those viruses your body overheats and if your defense mechanism is low (caused by bad weather conditions plus body abuse) you cant produce the mechanism to sweat, thus, the fever or in other terms your good microorganisms are fighting off the viruses that interrupted one of your systems (we all have nine)so you need to rest and take meds then you recover..did i help?
