Mmm, I really love that dog we purchased so much honey (hubby nods accordingly like a trained chimp) but I did not like it's nose and the teeth were just so un-hollywood so I had the nose chopped off and the mutts teeth enhanced to look like a Hollywood horse.
Not a thing done in the UK of course (It's illegal) but recently seeing a documentary about it were it's performed (and it would be only) in America that they do this I rack my brains at the reason why, why indeed? is it more money than sense here? Some U.S vets even having the audacity to point out "health benefits". Clipping the ears of floppy eared dogs because they are prone to inflammation due to build up of moisture???? Docking a dogs tail is highly practical too because (according to an american kennel) 'people can't grab the tail'. Debarked dogs sounding like 60 a day cigar smokers? Why do people do it??????

I feel that when you buy a dog it should be what you want, there should be no plastic surgery for dogs or any pet because they can't help the way they look. its not there fult

If all that's true then i am disgusted! Plastic surgery on humans is up to an individuals emotions which are related to how they feel they look, a dog and any other animal for that matter has no concept of its own appearance and any surgery done on an animal should be done purely if it 100% necessary.
Why would you subject you pet to the unnecessary risks associated with surgery!
Next you'll be telling me their doing plastic surgery on babies and children if their noses don't look quite right!

It's not just the dog world and it's not just the normal tail-docking, ear-clipping these days.

Do a google search for an Arabian horse named 'Magnum Psyche.' This stallion underwent plastic surgery to make his neck look more appealing. And believe me, the poo really hit the fan on that one.

Sorry, I'm pro crop & dock. I have dobermans. If I wanted a black and rust dog, with a long tail and floppy ears, I would've gotten Coon Hounds! JMO

The AKC Standard for Doberman Pinscher clearly states cropped OR natural. See that big two letter word? "OR" it is neither a fault or disqualification for them to be show with natural ears. The only stipulation about cropped ears is if they have been cropped, they must stand erect.
