Windows System File Protection reported that shell32.dll has been changed, and it's true. The version of the shell32.dll in my system32 doesn't match with the one in i386. My questions are:

1. I've lost my Windows XP CD. What should I do?
2. System file protection usually will automatically overwrite it. Why doesn't it now? Does it mean my computer has lost its protection of its important files?

If you wonder how can I know these dll versions, I've got a software to hack them.

there should be a backup of shell32 here:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache

1. go to run
2. type cmd.exe
3. type sfc /scannow

that tool will scan for all protected files and offer to fix them. you can use i386 in place of your cd if it asks for a cd.
