Well, considering what is going on is not Christian (used as a cover), not American (no one likes what is going on), and not imperialism (insinuates empire-building, which is most definately not going on, otherwise it'd be working), your motivator is misguided greed. The changing world economic and global climate and the rise of international terrorism NEEDS to be addressed, we just addressed it in a profoundly retarded way. What is going on right now is the culmination of stubborness, ignorance, and greed.

Evangelical Christians beleive that the end of the world (and the Rapture thereafter) will occur in the middle east, as Israel is attacked by its neighbors. Thier longterm plan is to continue to forment trouble in the region in order to bring this about.
